Why Fitspire
Three things that make Fitspire different from every other option in North Raleigh.
Corey holds advanced certifications in injury prevention and rehabilitation — NASM-CPT, Pain Free Performance Specialist (PPSC), and Barbell Rehab Method certified. Whether you're dealing with bad knees, a stiff back, or old shoulder issues, he knows exactly how to modify every movement for your body.
Not elite athletes or fitness models — real adults 50+ who haven't worked out in years and are nervous about getting hurt. If you're a beginner or getting back into it, you're in exactly the right place.
Every member starts with a full 9-standard Functional Age Score™ assessment — coach observed, clinically accurate. You'll know exactly where your body stands before your first training session. We retest every quarter so your progress is never a feeling. It's a number.
The Honest Truth
Most people assume 1-on-1 personal training is the gold standard. In practice, Fitspire members consistently see faster results — and enjoy the process more. Three reasons why.
Training with people your age — people who are working toward the same things and rooting for each other — changes the entire experience. Fitspire members consistently say the 50 minutes feels like 20. That's not an accident. It's what happens when the environment is right. And when you actually enjoy showing up, you keep showing up.
Two things make Fitspire members unusually consistent. First, you're training with people who notice when you're not there — that accountability is more powerful than willpower. Second, with sessions available 6 days a week across morning, midday, and evening, and the ability to reschedule with 6 hours notice, there's almost never a reason to miss. Most members find a session that works no matter what the week throws at them.
Consistency is the single biggest driver of results in strength training — more than any specific exercise, program, or weight lifted. When you enjoy the process and have a system that makes it easy to show up, you train more often and more effectively over time. That compounds. Members who've trained at Fitspire for 6+ months consistently outperform what they achieved in years of traditional gym memberships or 1-on-1 training.
Google Reviews
Fitspire opened in January 2026. Here's what members are saying.
At Fitspire I get personal attention, awesome music, a pleasant clean workout area, and friends who encourage me. I started out with 2 sessions a week but I was sad on the days I couldn't go. So I quickly moved up to 3 sessions a week.
I've been active my entire adult life but consistency has been a huge problem the past 20 years because life gets in the way. I have a neighborhood gym and even though I drive by it every day, it feels like torture to stop and work out. I turn 65 this year and finally decided to invest in myself. Yes it's more expensive than my regular gym membership but I was wasting my money there — I canceled it. After only 2 months, I feel amazing and so strong. Fitspire is the best investment I've ever made.
Even though you are in a class of no more than six, you are always treated as if you are in a one on one class. You are in a class of people in your age bracket so you don't feel weird and you are not babied because of your age. This is a great find. It makes me feel great mentally and physically.
I loathe exercise and am below beginner level, have bad knees, stiff hips, limp muscles, and arthritis everywhere. Corey modified standard routines and created new ones to fit my limitations. We have been training for about 10 months, and I feel that I have improved. I don't like the work, but I do like seeing Corey 3 times a week.
I've been a member of a gym all my adult life and this is my best experience yet. Corey pays individual attention to all of us and is constantly making corrections in our form to keep us injury free. He sends out weekly informational pep talks that are so good that I forward them to my friends.

The Process
Three steps from first conversation to first session.
A quick call with Corey to talk through your goals, your history, and whether Fitspire is the right fit. No pressure, no commitment — just an honest conversation. If it's a fit, you'll have your first session scheduled before you hang up.
Your free 60-minute in-person session includes a full 9-standard Functional Age Score™ assessment — coach observed, clinically accurate. You'll know exactly where your body stands and exactly what we're going to do about it. This is your starting point.
Choose your frequency — 2x or 3x per week — and start training. Personal training in small groups, every rep coached, programming built for your body. Show up consistently and you'll be measurably stronger by the end of week 4.
The Real Cost
You're probably thinking: this is a real investment. What if it doesn't work? Here's what most people don't realize about gym costs.
You'll train in a room of 20+ people with one coach running the whole class. Nobody knows your name, your limitations, or whether your form is breaking down. The workout is the same for everyone — whether you're 52 with a bad knee or 28 with no history. You're on your own to keep up or fall behind.
The best option if you can sustain it. Most people can't. Three months in, the bill wins. Total spent before stopping: $2,550. Back to square one. A full year, if you made it: $10,200.
Personal attention. Real accountability. A price you can actually maintain long-term. After a full year: $5,187 — and you're still showing up. That's the difference between a gym you pay for and a program you stick with.
The question isn't "Can I afford this?"
The question is "Can I afford to keep starting over?"
Honest Assessment
Personal training in small groups isn't for everyone — and that's okay. Here's who thrives at Fitspire.
If you checked YES to most of those boxes, you're exactly who we built this for.
The only question left is: Are you ready to stop starting over every Monday?
